The United States exempts tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol from limits for residue in grains

On oct 19, 2018, the us environmental protection agency (EPA) issued a notice exempting tetrahydrofuryl Alcohol from residue limits in grains such as corn, according to the EPA.

According to an application filed by Toxcel, LLC on behalf of Penn A Kem, LLC, the epa decided to exempt tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol from the maximum residue limit requirements for grain herbicides such as wheat, corn, sorghum and rice.
